Youth Ministries
It is the belief and vision of our pastor that young people are an integral component of our ministry. Therefore, Bishop Johnnie L. Woods, Jr. appointed Minister Tabitha Woods as the youth minister in August 2005. The Lord began to send visions to Minister Tabitha that would help catapult the youth to another level of church worship. After presenting the vision of the children’s church in a business meeting, the wheels of destiny began to turn. The wheels were turning so fast that the youth advisory board was unable to have a formal meeting upon how and when to begin sessions of Children’s Church. After approximately 10 minutes of an informal meeting, we had formulated a structure for the children’s service, topics to teach, and supplies which we would use. The first Sunday in September 2005 marked the first session of Children’s Church for the Joyful Noise AOH Church of God. Praise God!
Caring & Sharing Ministries
Elder Yolanda Woods, the first lady of Joyful Noise, has added an exciting ministry to the church. In 2004, the Lord impressed a vision upon her to start a ministry for the women of the body of Christ. Mother Woods understands the struggles women face on a daily basis. She is more than qualified as she is a wife of 50 years, a mother of seven children, a grandmother to fourteen, and a retired elementary teacher. This vision involves empowering women, ministering to their needs, and creating an atmosphere for them to know someone cares and is sharing their lives with them.
Music Ministries
The music staff of Joyful Noise AOH Church of God knows the importance of a powerful worship experience. Whether ministering to the Lord in an upbeat expression of joy or an intimate time of heartfelt worship, you will be refreshed as you enter into God’s Presence. Each service, singers and musicians lead the Joyful Noise AOH Church of God family into a time of life-changing praise and worship, proclaiming through music the greatness and everlasting love of God.
