Caring & Sharing Ministries
Women operate in several roles such as wife, mother, and career women. The ministry offers service to single, married, divorced or widow women as a whole.
At the beginning the ministry met spontaneously at the church under the leadership of Mother Woods. We now meet on every second Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm at the church. The meetings involve devotion, classes, panel discussions, and discussions on topics that face women face everyday. Some Saturday meetings involve programs such as Women in Hats, Seasonal Teas, Holiday Luncheons and ultimately our present annual Women Conference. During the teas, we have had contests for table decorating and awesome speakers that ignite and inspire our spirit.
Our first women conference was in October 2007, entitled “Destiny Driven Women.” Since then we have had conferences entitled “Catch the WAVE (Women Achieving Victory Everyday) and Women at the Rainbow’s End.” This conference has had renowned speakers and musical artists and is growing by leaps and bounds yearly. Mother Woods began to urge the women to fast and pray as they prepare for the conference. As a result, the anointing permeates the atmosphere and people’s lives are changed forever. The first weekend in October marks a time of excitement for our church, as it has become the designated time for women conference.
As the holidays approach, Mother Woods encourages each lady to bring items for families that we adopt in the church and community. The caring and sharing involves knowing that there is always someone less fortunate than we are. We show them we care by sharing God’s love and his message of hope, as we give groceries or meet their needs as designated. This ministry works alongside the media ministry. We are so excited to continue this ministry as God consistently leads our first lady to higher heights in producing women who are empowered and respond to life’s challenges with courage and hope!
